a few notable things from today.... (and yes, stig neglected to take the camera to the playground this morning. again.) little pigpen and here's adella proudly sticking out her dirty foot for me to capure the moment. "mommy. picture. foot." she was saying... and look - adella's easter basket! this was my first time actually making an easter basket for my little girl, and boy was it fun! i wasn't planning on getting much, but once i got to the store and joined the other crazed easter shoppers (i couldn't believe how many people there were... it was like christmas or something. i guess people jump on any little chance they get to spend money on holiday goodies. and i'm becoming one of them.) i saw tons of cute stuff. it ended up being way more fun than i thought it would. oh, and we haven't even hunted easter eggs yet! we're going to have the egg hunt tomorrow evening after i get in from work... here's what i got: a basket, of course, which can later be used to tote and store little people fluffy papery easter grass a springtime coloringbook a set of numbers flashcards a duckie sippy straw cup a kaleidoscope (did i spell that right?) two eggs of silly putty a bunny bouncy ball and for the eggs... stig suggested skittles, but i was thinking more along the line of raisins or teddy grahams or stickers. so, i broke down and bought some jelly beans... i also bought a set of counting bears that i've been looking for an excuse to buy for quite a while. there are 5 colors of bears, 10 of each color, and 5 colored cups to sort and count and put the bears into. nana had a set at her house and adella loved them so much. so what better surprise to put inside the eggs? two bears in each of 25 eggs, and 5 jelly beans in each of 20 eggs. tomorrow will be the big hunt. more pictures, i'm sure. ni-night.
