not much new to report... things have been rather quiet around here. the weekend was basically just work and then more work for me. the nursing shortage is a real thing and is no fun for anyone. by the time i got home sunday, i was exhausted and cranky and wearing my pj's by 4:30 p.m. adella and stig had a pretty quiet weekend. we've had crazy weather here - thunderstorms all day saturday and then supposed snow [that never really happened] on sunday. so i'm pretty sure they stayed home all weekend. i think stig spent every extra minute studying for his first test, which is tonight. good luck stig! adella has come down with a little cold. the upside is that is that she feels perfectly fine despite an occasional cough and a slightly runny nose. the other good news is, all her friends have it too, so we are still on for babysitting co-op tomorrow. and if all goes as planned, i will have three blissful hours all to myself. i still haven't figured out what i will do, but i know i have to go pick up recycling containers and return some things at sears. fun. i'm mostly looking forward to getting in and out of the car in 10 seconds or less, and not having to open the door to the back seat. it's the small pleasures that i'm after. good news: i think i've solved my bootie problem (baby booties, that is). now to unravel all of the test booties and knit them into something less deformed.... adella's new favorite toys: hot wheels! so far she's got a '35 cadillac and a '69 corvette... she likes to drive them all around the house saying, "oh boy! oh boy! oh boy!"
