good evening, folks- it's been a pretty quiet day around here.. adella played happily by herself for most of the morning so i got some good knitting time in. unfortunately, the finished baby bootie looks a bit deformed, so i am now back to square 1 with a different pattern. more on that later. here's the busy bee in her kitchen: once i shook my laziness off, we decided to go play (me: drink coffee) at the train table. i reminded/prepped adella the whole way there, and together we chanted our new mantra as we marched into b&n, "share trains, share trains, share trains..." luckily for us, she was the only conductor this afternoon, though i'm sure if there had been others, she would have politely shared the train. next we hit the playground, where adella straightaway confiscated a big bouncy ball and ran away with it. once the ball excitement was over, she practiced jumping. ready, set... ...go! and yes, she landed that one. now the day is winding down. adella is asleep and stig is out playing. the house is quiet, and i've got just enough time to get some oatmeal cookies in the oven before LOST comes on. cheers.
