adella and i are leaving for jackson on monday! most of you probably aready know this, but in case you don't, me and adella are going to jackson on monday!! i have a zillion things to do, it seems. since i'll be working all weekend, i need to get everything ready for the trip early, so we can get up and go ASAP on monday. also, when we get back home, we're going to a birthday party for henry (3 years old!) on saturday as soon as i get off work, so i need to be ready for that before we even leave. so i need to get laundry done, toys and books and clothes packed, buy a DVD player for the car, take a peek at the map, etc, etc... so, since i have so many things to do, i have chosen to do none of them, and instead have been obsessing over a new craft book i got a few days ago... i love love love this book!! here are a few pictures from the inside. it's filled to the brim with the most adorable little softies - complete with patterns and instructions. oh, but did i mention it is written in japanese? um, i'm pretty sure i can follow the diagrams well enough to make something that closely resembles the intended product. today i made this little bear: yep, it's lumpy and lopsided, i know. but it's an original. happily, adella loves it. she watched very closely as i sewed it together and kept asking," i touch it? i touch it!" finally i finished and handed it over. yay! she likes it! okay - enough, enough! i must stop thinking about crafty things. i have to get back to packing and oraganizing. we did go to the nature center again today (or, as adella has re-named it, 'the animal center'). no pictures, but we had lots of fun. the butterfly exhibit is open and we got to hold some butterflies! okay, now i really have to go...
