busy or lazy?

you take your pick - both are probably right. i know it's been a while, and some of you die-hard adella enthousiasts are really missing your daily pictures, but it has been a busy few days. as you know, nana came to visit. we all had a great time. we spent the (too-short) time doing various things: shopping, walking downtown, eating ice cream, playing at the playground, going out to dinner, reading stories, cooking, knitting, and much much more. perhaps the most fun was the new purple cow bubble machine that i got for adella: the package said 'billions of bubbles' and they weren't kidding. adella never tires of the "dubbles". after a dinner out, we left the restaurant and saw... a giant dog! not exactly clifford, but close enough. adella LOVED this dog. the owner was nice enough to offer adella a ride, but we had to decline. another furry friend adella and mommy nana spent one morning with adella at the neighborhood toddler fun festival - water table, cars and bikes, a bounce house, and a ball pit! adella (and nana) had a big fun time! in other news, adella is becoming an expert ball-player. we've been throwing the big purple ball back and forth for what seems like hours today. she almost never misses! we went to knitting this morning. the kids got to ransack someone else's house this time, since amy has been kind enough to alternate weeks of hosting with me. henry had a box of toddler-sized instruments - guitar, banjo, washboard, spoons, triangle, shaker eggs, and more. they were a big hit and the kids provided the background music while we knitted and discussed 'lost' theories. we're an exciting bunch, we are. oh, and guess what? i got a jury summons in the mail. despite the so-tempting pay of $12 a day, i'm going to try and weasle my way out of it. tomorrow is co-op. wednesday is my mamas' night out - no boys, no kids, dinner and drinks - i can't wait! oh, and tonight is stig's last class of the semester. one last power point presentation and he's done! night-night.
